Occupying the most prestigious of spots next to the church of St Mary and All Saints and its famous crooked spire! Renamed The Rectory, preserving it’s spiritual connections, it’s undergone a complete face lift from top-to-toe providing a cosy, inspiring environment for you to enjoy up-to-the-minute cuisine from around the world, or an informal beer from our selection of great local and award winning cask ales, on-trend craft lagers and beers.
THE CROSSING ALE HOUSE AND KITCHEN – BURTON-ON-TRENT
Situated in the famous brewing town of Burton-Upon-Trent our design brief for The Crossing was to create a traditional ‘Ale House Design’ that has the flexibility to serve as a kitchen/dining experience with Gastro Pub Feel.
The original features such as the timber floor and fireplaces were retained, where as the rest of the finishes were carefully picked to suit the historic pub. The design and layout of the pub was to open up the main trade space and at the same time create intimate areas of seating and low pendant lighting. Collective vintage displays of decorative items are clustered around the pub to give a homely feel.
FORUM BAR – KINGS STREET, WALLEY
Already owning Forum Bar on Winkley Street in Preston Town Centre, Soda Group was commissioned to refurbish the previously owned retail space in The Ribble Valley village of Whalley, Lancashire. A bar and restaurant set over two floors were briefed with a soft Industrial design. The Interior palette included grey Armourcoat wall finishes against a warm oak block Herringbone flooring and white glossy subway tiling adjacent to the concrete bar top. Driftwood walls and vintage designed lighting gave the client just what he wanted.
